Hazardous Energy Control and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Effective control of hazardous energies is a critical requirement to ensure the safety of people, the integrity of equipment, and operational continuity in industrial and mining environments. During maintenance, repair, or operational activities, the unexpected release of energy can cause serious incidents with human, technical, and operational consequences.
In response to this need, ABUS Colombia has developed its Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training Program, structured to strengthen the technical competencies of personnel involved in the management and application of hazardous energy control.
The program integrates international standards, industry best practices, and the proper use of ABUS lockout and tagout devices, globally recognized for their quality, reliability, and performance in high-risk environments.
📘 Specialized Course
Hazardous Energy Control and LOTO Programs
Duration: 8 hours
Modality: Virtual or In-person
Level: Specialized
General Description
This specialized training is aimed at developing technical competencies for the identification, assessment, and control of hazardous energies, as well as the design, implementation, management, and auditing of LOTO programs in industrial and mining organizations.
The course enables participants to understand the systemic approach to hazardous energy control, integrating technical, regulatory, and operational aspects necessary to establish strong, documented LOTO programs aligned with legal and corporate requirements.
